Un sportiv a lasat un bacsis de 1.000 dolari la un restaurant

Andre Drummond, pivotul echipei Cleveland Cavaliers din liga profesionista nord-americana de baschet (NBA), si-a aratat generozitatea lasand un bacsis de 1.000 dolari dupa ce a achitat o consumatie de 160 dolari, informeaza agentia EFE.

Evenimentul a avut loc duminica, la un restaurant din Delray Beach (Florida), iar surpriza i-a fost facuta unei chelnerite.

"Nu stiam cine este clientul pana cand am vazut bacsisul pe o factura de 164 dolari. Cand mi-a dat cardul pentru a efectua plata si a-i elibera chitanta, nu mi-a venit sa cred", a afirmat chelnerita.

Angajata restaurantului a postat si pe Instagram o fotografie cu chitanta in care, pe langa un cec de 160 dolari, aparea si un bacsis de 1.000 dolari. "Am inceput sa tremur si sa am lacrimi in ochi de fericire", a spus tanara.

La randul sau, Drummond, care castiga 27 de milioane de dolari pe sezon, a raspuns: "Multumesc pentru ca ai fost incredibila!". Jucatorul a multumit in acelasi timp restaurantului pentru ospitalitate.

Restaurants and staff have been struggling, as you can imagine. Little did I know that today I would get a tip no server would guess that they would ever receive when they open that check book. When I was given the checkbook, I went to put in the tip & information to close the table and I couldn't believe it. From a $160 check, the tip read $1,000. I was shaking and had tears of happiness after what he left me. I had no idea how to react, I didn't want to draw attention but at the same time I couldn't describe the the amount of appreciation I had/ have. It's so amazing to see people displaying acts of kindness in these uncertain times.
